Long hot days? Riesling is the answer.

Taste Eden Valley is home to over 15 different wine producers who don’t have a cellar door. With over 70 single vineyard limited release wines we change our tasting list each week so you never get tired of our range. Summer months bring long hot days and there is no better way to relax with a refeshing glass of Riesling. We have a selection of 23 Rieslings to sample at our tasting room in Angaston – open 7 days 10am – 5pm.

Summer visits to the old Bar’n

Built in the early 1900’s, Hart of the Barossa’s Old Bar’n is located in the midst of our vineyard where our wine is created.

We offer wine tastings in our Old Bar’n on the first Saturday of the month (except during Vintage) Feb-March.  Next Open: Saturday 2 April – 11am til 4pm

Bookings for private tastings are available during this time where possible.

Silver Raven Festival

collage 500x200 header

Turkey Flat & Golden Arrow are thrilled to bring you Silver Raven Festival this April! An Americana tinged rock n roll extravaganza featuring some of the best names in the biz. Surrounded by the idyllic gardens and vines of our good friends, Turkey Flat Vineyards, this will be an epic day of world-class music, food and booze.

Bringing the good eats will be a tasty collaboration between The Happy Motel and The Vendor – with rumours of an infinity charcoal swirling, we know we’re in for some treats!

Headlined by none other than the Billboard Chart’s #1 Country/Folk/Rock artist of 2015, Jason Isbell, the line-up is jammed with amazing talent:

Jason Isbell
“Jason Isbell is arguably the most revered roots-rock singer-songwriter of his generation” – The Music
Jason Isbell, along with his stellar band The 400 Unit, will return to Australia to play Silver Raven Festival. Released in July, his incredible new album Something More Than Free, has simply reinforced what a formidable and respected songwriter Isbell is. It debuted at #1 on three Billboard charts – Top Rock Album, Country Album & Folk Albums – it has set airplay records around the globe and has critics raving. Rolling Stone Magazine being one: another: DzAlt-country? Americana? Whatever, he’s made another utterly towering record.”

Eilen Jewell
Honesty, confidence, and respect permeate Eilen Jewellǯs music, dating back to her self-released Boundary County album in 2006. Since then, the Boise native has recorded five studio albums for Signature Sounds with her road-tested touring band, and two more as a member of the Boston-based

The local garage rock n roll masters. A sound, which draws from the Australian underground of the late 70s and 80s, while also taking cues from US indie outsiders like The Replacements and Wipers. Mundane meets morbid; the humdrum meets the horror; nostalgia meets nightmare. Big dreams meet bad dreams.

Endless Boogie
The best-kept secret in New York’s rock scene. In a sea of derivative and freshly outfitted young bands, Endless Boogie — with a combined age of 169 and members who count Canned Heat as one of their influences — doesn’t have a big agenda. They just want to rock with you, preferably all night long. We try boogie sometimes, but boogie’s hard, says guitarist Jesper Eklow (aka DzThe Governordz) self-effacingly. Boogie takes skill and we haven’t honed those skills yet. The band’s sound is a meltdown of metal, psychedelic and classic rock with a heavy dose of riffage, a kick-ass beat and super-cryptic lyrics. It’s thunderous and mellow at once.

The Audreys
We are thrilled to have the bittersweet honour of hosting the Audreys’ final show before taking a break from touring and making records for a while.
The Audreys are songwriting duo Taasha Coates and Tristan Goodall. Formed in Adelaide in 2004, they have become one of Australia’s most respected folk rock acts & ARIA award winners. They like vintage clothes, vinyl records, drinking, touring and each other.

Koral and the Goodbye Horses
“…Adelaide’s Koral & The Goodbye Horses straddle a line between giants like PJ Harvey and more contemporary voices like Ainslie Wills and Anna Calvidz– Rip It Up SAM Award nominated noir alt-rockers Koral & The Goodbye Horses released their debut EP Nocturnes to critical acclaim in 2015.”

Hana & Jessie-Lee
Hana & Jessie-Lee are a honky-tonk, country and western whiskey drinkin’ duo that arose from the band The Sloe Ruin. After fronting as lead singer and lead twangin’ guitarist, the two decided to continue the boot stomping after the band ended in mid 2015. Singing songs of heart break, late nights at the bar and travelling the world with a hip-flask of single malt, the soulful vocal tones and punchy lead guitar licks will steal your attention in the first line. Having already played supports for Tex Perkins, The Kill Devil Hills, and American country singer
Sam Outlaw, the pair have some special shows coming up in the new year, as well as a brand new two track single to be released in early 2016.

Ollie English
“Ollie English is a singer-songwriter, guitarist from Adelaide, South Australia. The blues musician just released his new single I Know You’re Gonna Leave, surprisingly forceful yet emotive. With debut EP Cabin Thoughts expected for release in late October, this serves as a nice preview. A slow building and ominous track, it showcases Ollie’s raw vocals and composition skills. The subtle guitar melody develops into a stomping blues riff backed by a lazy bass-line and shuffling drums. I can’t wait to hear more of his dark, brooding sound” – (Melina Scarfo, Made Of Honey)

Wine in your pocket – we love the WithWine app!

Ok – wine apps are nothing new, we know there’s more of them than space on any phone… But this one – WithWine – is definitely worth making room for.

Not only does it help you find wines you’ll love – based on your friends recommendations – it helps you store & remember wines you’ve discovered yourself – just scan the barcode! Then – and now this is the great part – you can buy said wines right inside the app. No links – no 3rd parties – you buy direct from the producer right there. The thoughtful simplicity of this thing is amazing.

The best part is, the more of your friends that get involved, the better experience for everyone. I know I’m in (along with the rest of the office!).

At Turkey Flat we’ve signed up & our wines are all available to order now. (and if you order before December 10 you’ll receive them in time for Christmas too!)

Get on board & start discovering!
